On the Priceline website this foundation claims: A perfectly nude look and a flawless finish without the heavy make-up feel. With its lighter than water formula, Nude Magique Eau de Teint provides undetectable coverage while letting skin breathe for a fresh and flawless complexion. The velvety texture endlessly glides over skin.
I purchased this at my local Priceline for $24.95 and I got mine in the colour 140 pure beige. It Definetly does claim to do a lot, but did it live up to its words?!
The first thing that drew me straight to this product was the packaging, I knew I had to buy it as soon as I saw it. The bottle is made from glass as are many other foundations, but the shape and just in general the look of this foundation made it appear very fancy and elegant. I know, I know its not all about the packaging but it is always a bit of a bonus!
L'oreal's main focus of this product was to produce a very light feeling foundation. I do love a natural look, and I don't have terrible skin so I was excited to try this product but I still like to wear a medium coverage foundation.
As I just mentioned I do like a medium coverage foundation, but I did not expect much coverage from this product. But I was shocked at the amount of coverage I did get out of this. It does say that it is meant to be lighter than water and it is, so therefor I expected a very thin BB cream like application, but I did get surprisingly good coverage.
When It says lighter than water, it really does mean it. I was a bit shocked at how much it felt exactly like water its a bit weird really ha ha!! One thing I will say, is I think this product would work much better with some sort of pump, even though I did read you are supose to tip it on your finger tips as you would a perfume. But it can get quite messy so a pump would work much better, I'm still figuring it out!!
This foundation applied perfectly, a very smooth application. It did say to apply with your fingertips and the first time I did it that way, but I must say I did actually prefer using a foundation brush. I felt like I could blend it out a lot better with my brush. But that is just personal choice. As I did mention L'oreal does suggest you tip it out just as you would a perfume, but I do feel like I tip out too much every time, which isn't very convenient. I do love the fact its like water though, very cool! I use around a 10c-20c piece amount to cover my whole face depending on how much I tip out and how my skin is looking, it is very buildable. It feels incredibly Light on your face, goes on so perfectly and gives a good amount of coverage.
This foundation lasts really well on me, I haven't noticed it sliding off at all but I do always use a primer and a light dusting of powder over top. I'm really impressed with how long it stays on my face considering how light it is. It lasts me a good 6-8 hours depending on the day. And I mean it doesn't look absolutely terrible after that, a bit of extra powder and im good to go!
Overall I really did love this product. But I did wish it had some kind of pump, so I didn't always have so much extra wasted product. And I still did need a bit of concealer for those undereye circles and for the odd spot if I had one but it does have very buildable coverage. I loved the feeling that I didn't have any foundation on, and the fact that it is just so easy to wear. It is a really easy application to the face with great buildable coverage. It gave my skin a really natural flawless finish with a beautiful natural, dewy glow. And the bottle was stunning a real winner for me. I was beyond impressed with this product, and it is a great everyday foundation. I wouldn't wear it out at night but for the day time its perfect. I really did hope this product would live up to the hype and for me personally it really did. This product is amazing a huge Welldone to L'oreal on this one, Absolute Love! xx Sammie
